My favorite Bond

I am not a big fan of James Bond films. I find them excessively clichéd and at the most times they are really easy to predict. Many films share the same formula, which is why I was not surprised when the series was restarted back in 2006 with Casino Royale. In attempts to see if I could enjoy the Bond films, once again, I recently watched Quantum of Solace for the first time.

Despite the film being rid of the clichés, ruined former movies, enjoy no I really Daniel Craig as 007. He didn't look part, and had absolutely no charisma or personality. So with Craig doing nothing to hook me on to the James Bond film, I decided to look back at some of the older films and decide who is the best James Bond to date?

That turned out to be my favorite Bond? Pierce Brosnan. What separates Brosnan from Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Daniel Craig is, he makes for the most well rounded bond, we have seen to date. Brosnan's 007 is charismatic, traditional, witty and intelligent, and unlike Connery and Timothy Dalton likes Brosnan was a credible ass kicker.

What hurts Brosnan's 007 is that he starred in some of the more absurd film. Die Another Day is a pure example of how, despite the best Bond; This is probably one of the worst 007 movies I've seen. GoldenEye is an example of how the chorus blandness Bond films began to show damage Brosnans first appearance on the super spy.

What would it take for me to believe in Bond? Recasting. Not necessarily, I am asking for a restart, I think just the series to a bond, which actually has charisma and charm. While Craig certainly offered a more grittier Bond, which at times was really interesting to see for myself was just too far from the classical interpretation. I think a new Bond should have a new player, but not replace over 007 's origin. Who would I pick? I am sure the world would agree with me here as I believe Michael Fassbender would make for one classic Bond. He got looks, charm and looks, he is easily able to take on the physical side of 007. The only thing he would have to work on is his accent. Fassbenders natural Irish twang tends to take over his performance in the latter stages of the X-men: first class. If he can hold an English accent, he is ready to be Bond.

If you disagree with me, just watch the first half of the X-men: first class. Fassbender oozes 007.
